[28.09.23] DigiLounge#2 | Introduce “Athena – Women leaders in Marcom” community

“Gender equality” has long been a topic that has attracted a great deal of attention and consumed much ink not only from experts and the media but also from various other fields, especially communications. Many brands have made efforts to incorporate the “gender equality” theme into their advertising campaigns over the past period.

In 2014, the campaign called #LikeAGirl, carried out by Always, successfully redefined the meaning of the somewhat derogatory phrase “Like a girl” and transformed it into a statement that highlighted a unique sense of pride and self-worth among girls. This campaign quickly became a global phenomenon, reaching over 85 million views in approximately 150 countries and increasing customer purchase intent by 92%. Is integrating gender into a communication campaign a good idea? How can you incorporate gender messaging into a campaign in a subtle and effective manner?

Join “Gender Stereotypes in Marcom Strategy” in DigiLounge#2 to listen to opinions and insights from both businesses and Gender experts on the following key topics:

  • Exchange and share perspectives on challenging gender stereotypes in marketing campaigns.
  • Discover solutions and experiences in promoting gender equality.
  • Explore how to integrate gender equality messages to enhance the effectiveness of marketing communication activities.
  • Learn how to enhance the application of gender knowledge and skills.

The “Athena – Women Leaders in Marcom” community will be launched at DigiLounge #2 with the theme “Gender Stereotypes in Marcom Strategy”. With the aim of creating a dedicated sharing and networking community for “women” in the “Women Leader in Marcom” network, initiated by OMverse (a Performance Solution Group) & RED Communication, this community brings together accomplished female leaders working in the field of Marcom. Beyond providing a platform for networking and community building, the goal of “Women Leader in Marcom” is to support female entrepreneurs facing challenges in self-positioning and community development by drawing from the insights and experiences of female leaders on the Advisory Board.
